STREETS

STREET & SIGN MAINTENANCE

The Street Superintendent is responsible for maintaining city streets, directing snow removal operations, installation and maintenance of city street signs, maintaining ditches in the right-of-way, and maintaining the city’s storm water infrastructure. The Street Superintendent also performs vehicle maintenance, mowing, blading and graveling of gravel surfaces, sweeping of streets, traffic striping and markings, patching and repairing city streets.

EQUIPMENT

The city owns 2 snow plow trucks, 1 street sweeper, 1 end loader, 1 grader, 1 skid loader, and 1 dump truck to ensure effective street department maintenance operations. Residents are welcome to utilize ‘Report a Concern’ to report unusual problem locations which may present a hazard to public safety, and these areas will be reviewed by the Streets Superintendent.
