Parks & Trails

Nashua is home to four beautiful public parks. They feature campgrounds, shelters, boat ramps, many recreation activities, wide spanning green space, trails and comfortable places to just relax.

CEDAR VIEW PARK

400 Charles City Road

Situated alongside the picturesque Cedar Lake, beautiful Cedar View Park offers camping, boat ramps, picnic areas, 6 charcoal grills, sand volleyball, and playgrounds. There are two sand beaches offering a pleasant place to swim and sunbathe, each beach has a swimming platform in the water for kids and the kids-at-heart to enjoy. There are horseshoe pits and a skate park as well as modern playground equipment for children. Three picnic shelters are available and can be reserved at City Hall. This family oriented 18 acre park is a great oasis for locals and area visitors alike.

VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK

Veteran's Drive

Veterans Memorial Park provides a stunning tribute to Veterans of America’s Armed Forces. Veterans Memorial Park is a destination for avid fishermen and provides a water launch and portage for personal vessels between Cedar Lake and the Cedar River. Several benches and shade trees provide ample opportunity for relaxation and reflection. The park offers a picnic shelter and a charcoal grill. Veterans Memorial Park is located immediately East of the dam accessible via Veterans Drive.

LAKESHORE PARK

350 Lakeshore Drive

Lakeshore Park features a 1 mile walking trail through lush, green canopies of trees and wide open spaces. You may encounter people relaxing on a grassy slope or boaters and fishermen utilizing the boat ramp and dock. The park provides a picnic shelter, gazebo, picnic patio, and a charcoal grill. A restroom is available for park guests. Lakeshore Park is pleasant, uncrowded, and relaxing.

CANNON PARK

200 Sample Street

High atop the Southern shoreline of Cedar Lake, Cannon Park provides a peaceful retreat with a panoramic view of the lake. The 1.5 acre park provides a gazebo and picnic table with 3 charcoal grills. The iconic cannon on display was captured during WWII. Parking is available on the East end of the park.
