MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Nashua Police Department was to enhance the quality of life in the City of Nashua by working in partnership with the community to enforce the law, preserve peace and maintain order. The City of Nashua is committed to accomplishing its mission to protect the lives and property of all citizens of Nashua by treating every citizen with courtesy, professionalism, respect and to enforce the laws impartially. We have partnered with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department to continue this mission.

Meet the Department
The City of Nashua no longer has a Police Department, as all police services are contracted through the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff and Deputies are available 24-7 to respond to all Emergency and Non-Emergency calls-for-service. You can contact them @ 641-394-3121, if you have an emergency please call 911 for immediate assistance.
Missions & Programs
COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIP
One of the ongoing missions of the police department was to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the community. Ultimately, we'd like to see the community become an active participant in helping us identify and prevent crimes from occurring. We want to nurture a culture amongst the members of our community in which they will feel comfortable and willing to communicate openly with the officers in our department about any concerns they may have. The City of Nashua has partnered with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Office because we know that Community Relations are important.
PROGRAMS
The City of Nashua is extremely proud of our commitment to make the community safe. There are several programs in place designed to educate and inform people of all ages on a range of topics including: bike safety, situational awareness & drug awareness. We continually seek out opportunities to develop new programs and deliver them according to the needs of the community. We have partnered with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department to carryout these programs and develop new programs for the health, safety, and well-being of our citizens.
